easyBus now offers low-cost bus travel between the centre of Paris and all Paris Airports

Working in partnership with several leading bus operators in France, easyBus is pleased to announce that we can offer low-cost bus transport between the centre of Paris and all 3 major Paris Airports – Charles De Gaulle, Paris Orly and Paris Beauvais.

Bus to Paris Airports – Our Paris airport bus services are some of the cheapest in the market, and the most efficient way to travel to and from Paris and all Paris Airports. Our services speed you to and from the airport in just 20 minutes and from fares as low as £10.35.

Thinking of using public transport in Paris to get to the Airports?

RATP run the Paris public transport system (public buses, RER trains and Metro). A bonus for those visitors to Paris with one eye on the wallet is that a Paris public transport travel pass can include the Paris Roissy Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) transfer if your transport pass is valid for zones 1 to 5 of the Paris public transport system.

The Le Bus Direct Paris airport bus transfer offers two bus services between Paris Roissy Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) and Paris city centre which was formerly run by Air France the French airline. The Le Bus Direct Paris is the most expensive Paris airport bus service justified by a superior level of service with more plush and roomy airport coaches.

The cheapest airport bus transfer between Paris Roissy Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) and the centre of Paris is the public bus run by RATP. However, the terminus for this cheap Paris airport bus service is not in the centre of Paris and is only used by a small number of visitors where the price of the airport transfer is everything.

All Paris Roissy Charles de Gaulle bus transfers often suffer long delays due to traffic congestion at peak times. During the week the motorway and orbital road around Paris can be a bit like a parking lot. Do leave plenty of contingency time when going out to Paris Roissy Charles de Gaulle Airport or indeed the return journey.

Going to and From Charles De Gaulle [CDG]? - Things to know

Le Bus Direct to Charles De Gaulle

CDG Airport terminals – There are 3 passenger terminals at Paris Roissy CDG Airport, notably terminals 1, 2 and 3. Terminal 2 is the biggest so far and is split into sub-terminals. It takes about 10 minutes to walk from one end of terminal 2 to the other so there are several airport bus pick-up and drop points for terminal 2.

Only the RoissyBus service stops at terminal 3. Terminal 3 is linked to terminal 1 by the free CDGVAL shuttle train or you can walk it just as fast under a covered walkway.

Airport bus boarding/drop in central Paris – The fact that all five services terminate in different parts of Paris, mean that the location of your final destination within Paris may well be the dominant factor in determining which is best for your needs.

Le Bus Direct run two separate services between PCDG airport and the centre of Paris. One goes to the Gare de Lyon railway station, east of the city centre and then goes on to the south side of the city and another major railway station, Montparnasse. The other goes to the heart of tourist Paris, stopping at the Champs-Elysees before terminating at the Eiffel Tower. These are the most luxurious and expensive airport bus services.

Arguably the most popular CDG Paris bus transfer option is Roissybus, operating to Opera in the centre of the city.

There are a couple of local Paris buses, routes 350/351 that connect CDG Airport with the centre of Paris. These are normal Paris buses with stops every few hundred yards in Paris itself. Out by CDG Airport these buses take a more express routing. These buses are the cheapest and slowest transfer option.

Travelling to and from Paris Beauvais?

Bus to Paris Beauvais

Paris Beauvais Airport is close to the city of Beauvais in the commune of Tillé in France. It is the tenth busiest airport in France, handling 3,997,856 passengers in 2016, and is mostly used by charter and low-cost airlines. Airlines using this airport include Wizz Air and Ryanair. On a typical day the airport will only handle around 50 flights.Keep in mind that it takes around 1 hour and 15 minutes to travel by bus on this route. Beauvais Airport or Paris-Beauvais Airport, is located about 80km (55 miles) north of the French capital Paris.

easyBus offer up to 13 departures per day on this route so you should never have to wait long for the next bus.

About Paris Beauvais Airport

The shuttle service is organised to and from Paris-Beauvais Airport and Paris-Porte Maillot (just to the west of the city centre, less than 1km from the Arc de Triomphe and Champs-Elysees) for each flight. Rather than a regular frequency timetable, bus services are timed to service individual flights. At Paris-Beauvais Airport, every bus service leaves approximately 20 minutes after each flight arrival, journey time is about 80 minutes. You find the bus stop immediately outside the passenger terminal.

For the return journey, travellers should be at the coach park at least 3 hours 30 minutes before the scheduled flight time (coach will depart at 3 hours 15 minutes before). The departure from Paris is located at the coach park on the Boulevard Pershing, near the hotel Concorde Lafayette to the west of Paris city centre. The coach park is about 300m from a Metro station Porte Maillot on line 1 of the Paris Metro. If flights are close together the bus may support more than one flight.

The other Paris Airport – Paris Orly

Orly Airport Bus

Paris Orly Airport, commonly referred to as Orly, is an international airport located partially in Orly and partially in Villeneuve-le-Roi, 7 NM south of Paris, France. The closest of the three Paris Airports, Orly can be reached in as little as 20 minutes from Paris City-Centre. Before the construction of Charles de Gaulle Airport in the 1970s, Orly was the main airport of Paris.

Even with the shift of most international traffic to Charles de Gaulle Airport, Orly remains the busiest French airport for domestic traffic and the second busiest airport overall in terms of passenger boardings. Our own easyJet, has a large hub here too.

New Orly Terminal opened in 2019

In April 2019 the two main terminals, west and south were joined by a new building known as Orly 3. This is a junction building which now allows passengers to travel between all areas of the airport under one roof. This one single terminal is now structured around four departure and arrival zones, Orly 1, 2, 3 and 4. These names now replace the former west and south terminals.

There are further developments planned at Orly with a new rail station to be added to the heart of the airport by 2024.

You can walk between each terminal in around 5 minutes, it is worth knowing that walking from Orly 1 to Orly 4 would take 15 minutes. The Orlyval shuttle train can take you from Orly 1-2-3 station to Orly 4 station within a minute, so is a much faster way to move around the terminal. The Orlyval, pictured below runs frequently. Its other purpose is to go beyond the airport to the nearest RER train service at Antony, perhaps the fastest route into the centre of Paris. You can only travel between the terminals free of charge.

The full range of services you would expect of a major international airport are at Orly Airport. All the various airport buses, hotel shuttles and taxis are easily accessed immediately outside the terminal.

There is a choice of two dedicated airport buses from Orly airport to the centre of Paris, although the most popular (and cheapest) service, OrlyBus goes to a Metro station in Paris, south of the river where you connect to the Paris Metro.

The OrlyBus, goes to Denfert-Rochereau station a Metro/RER station just inside the inner ring road motorway of Paris.

OrlyBus is operated by RATP who run the local buses and Metro in Paris and you can use Paris travel passes on this service up to zone 4 where Orly is located and covered by your pass. Buses can get crowded with significant numbers of passengers standing at peak times.

The other service is run by Le Bus Direct and goes furthest into the centre of the city stopping at Etoile (Champs-Elysees), Invalides (Eiffel Tower) and Gare Montparnasse (a major train station). Le Bus Direct buses are more like coaches, more luxurious and less full than OrlyBus, but do go further into the heart of Paris than OrlyBus.
