Reflections on 2007: Year of Surprises
EasyBus® is proud to announce that 2007 sales from Jan 1 to December 31 were up 50% when compared with the same period in 2006. This despite the fact that we still only employ one (very hard working) salesman on staff, and he was home with a broken leg for most of our busiest sales season in the summer.
As we continued to hire new employees this past year in both development and support, our success in sales validated our theory that by staying focused on getting better at what we are already good at and putting our customer support first, we would be recognized for excellence in our specialty areas of driver training, maintenance, trips and charters, and the sales would follow.
In a year when many of our competitors were racing to expand their suite to include new uncharted software products, we decided to re-write our already popular field trip software and web-request website from the ground up. Basing our new EasyTrip Enterprise™ on SQL server greatly expanded its usability for large clients.
“This new EasyTrip Enterprise is like comparing Star Wars with Spaceballs”

Likewise, by re-writing our easytriprequest.com website from the ground up, we have implemented many innovations such as a comprehensive “blackout” system, and by far the most flexible approval model on the market.
“Another example of why EasyBus is the leader of the Field Trip Software business”
John Brookshire, Cypress-Fairbanks ISD*
It was a year with many pleasant surprises: Clients who had left us for promises made by their routing software company came back when it became apparent that they “didn’t know field trips”. Other clients made the jump from their old favorite field trip software to EasyTrip™ because “we can’t get any updates or tech support from them”. But our biggest surprise had to be the call from a NATO contractor needing software to manage all the vehicles at Kandahar Airport in Afghanistan. Knowing that we had not designed our software for this purpose we had to ask them “are you sure this is a good fit for you?” But we are happy to say that EasyBus® software is up and running and managing over 1000 vehicles at Kandahar Airport. It is an honor and a thrill for us to be assisting the good people over there trying to make the world a better and safer place.
In 2008 as we continue to strive for excellence, we look forward to more pleasant surprises, and we are thankful to all those who continue to support us along the way.
